An Empirical Analysis of Inter-firm Business Transactions Network in Kansai Region of Japan

This paper uses big data inter-firm transactions to look at the Kansai economy. Various indicators are constructed using inter-firm business transactions data including connector degree and hub degree. These indicators are tracked over time to identify corporate contribution and the role of core enterprises in the local economy.
