Visualization of Hierarchical Transaction Structure with Digital Earth

The purpose of the research is to develop a platform to visualize the inter-firm transaction network of local enterprises. The network relationship is plotted on 3-dimensional digital earth and the hierarchy of the trading relationships is illustrated by varying altitudes. Furthermore, transactions within the region and between regions are expressed in different colors. From this visualization system, it is possible to get an overview of the inter-firm transactions in Japan and to understand the degree of industrial concentration.
